Take
a ride aboard a turn-of-the-century trolley that visits the historic
districts of Laredo.
Beginning
at the historic heart of Laredo, San Agustin Plaza, this two-hour
tour showcases the REPUBLIC OF THE RIO GRANDE® Museum, the
Old Mercado downtown area, the Victorian-era St. Peter's district,
and the in-progress restoration of old Ft. McIntosh. Stops
include San Agustin Cathedral, a beautifully restored Victorian
mansion in the St. Peter's district. Optional stops are the Laredo
Center for the Arts which host changing exhibits with border art
as well as visiting international artists, and the fully restored
1909 Webb County Courthouse designed by noted Texas
architect Alfred Giles.
All
Heritage Tours are conducted in English or Spanish. This is a
unique way of getting to know the history and architectural heritage
of this 250 year-old city that has lived under seven flags.
All tours start and finish at the REPUBLIC OF THE RIO GRANDE®
Museum at 1005 Zaragoza St., next door to La Posada Hotel/Suites
on San Agustin Plaza.

Reservations
with 24-hour advance notice are required. A minimum deposit of
