Volunteer Program

The Webb County Heritage Foundation and the Republic of the Rio Grande Museum invites you to serve as a volunteer.  We have several different volunteer opportunities from which to choose.  As a museum docent or walking tour guide, you can provide information on Laredo's exciting history to hundreds of adults and school children. Also, volunteers can explore the past by assisting with identification and cataloging of the museum collections, conducting research in a library that has over 600 volumes on local and state history, historic preservation, architecture, and antiquities. And you will enjoy the association with friends who share an interest in history.
